Meet Nicolas Kiet Quach

Trustee Nicolas Kiet Quach is President of Coalition PAC, an organization dedicated to electing leaders who prioritize the needs of working families.
As the son of Vietnamese refugees, government services never worked for his family. When trash wasn't picked up, they refused to call the city as a result of government distrust. Instead, they'd take the trash, and drive around town looking for a dumpster.
Despite relying on crucial government services including Food Stamps and Medi-Cal, they never engaged with government more than they needed to.
In 2020, Nicolas began interning for his local Mayor during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he organized for HERO Pay for Essential Workers, slashed third-party delivery fees for restaurant owners and local small businesses, whilst coordinating with city departments to provide constituent services throughout his career.
Soon after, he became a City Commissioner in his hometown, the City of Alhambra working with students and young people. Most notably, as a Commission Chair, he led efforts to ban flavored tobacco products and expand no-smoking zones across the city. In 2023, Quach became the Executive Director of Communications at Student Voice, a 501(c)(3) education nonprofit.

In 2022, Nicolas began serving on the Alhambra Library Board of Trustees and later elected as Library Board President, making him the youngest Library Trustee in the United States.
Through his oversight of the Alhambra Library, he fought book bans, expanded Library Programs, community outreach and provided oversight for a budget of nearly $5 million with fiscal responsibility.
During the 2022 and 2024 elections, Quach has worked on over a dozen successful campaigns for the CA State Legislature, including running Senator Sasha Renee Perez's campaign in 2024.
In December 2024, Quach became an elected official at 18-years-old as a Los Angeles Neighborhood Councilmember.
At 18 years old, Quach launched Coalition PAC in January 2025 after the 2024 election, aiming to steer the Democratic Party toward prioritizing on working families like his over Anti-Trump rhetoric.
Nicolas never imagined he’d enter politics, let alone become the youngest Library Trustee in U.S. history.
But—Quach understands the importance of his position in advancing the issues of working families for families, believing that government should be proactive, not reactive, and that we need strong community leaders in office.
Outside of politics, Nick is a student at the University of Southern California (USC), often enjoying local taco joints, hiking in the Angeles National Forest, or walking his dog, Chewy.

Coalition PAC is tired of culture wars and running the same playbook losing to Republicans. It's time for Democrats to fight for what matters.
